Odds are influnced by name of Juve I think. Fulham coach Hogson has very good pedigree in cups, so he can be rated as different type than Mr Moyes in Everton for example (whatever he says he doesn’t treat Euro Cups as the league) and surely will want to go as far as possible here. Also owners of Fulham promised some extra cash in every step further in this competition.
Fulham proved their worth with elimination of holders – Shaktar.
Also they are in safe position in the league and can focus on Eurocups as said coach Hodgson:
"We know Fulham are tough," he said. "Moreover, on the Fulham bench sits Roy Hodgson, a wise man and an experienced coach. His teams are always well organised and play good football."
Here are the words of Ghanian NT player – RB at Fulham Mr Plantsil about his coach:"He has time for each and every [player]. He has changed the team, he has lifted the team to a certain level. His training makes us feel more relaxed and more comfortable with our positions on the pitch. He is experienced. He knows how to coach his players to play European football."The former Switzerland and Finland coach took charge in December 2007 with Fulham in freefall. He arrested the slide and then masterminded the recovery, with victory at Portsmouth FC on the final day of the 2007/08 campaign keeping the club in the Premier League. The signings of Pantsil and striker Bobby Zamora – scorer of the spectacular first-leg winner against Shakhtar – from West Ham United FC, as well as goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and centre-back Brede Hangeland, established roots which are now bearing fruit. Success in Europe, Pantsil says, "is great. It is pushing us, it is giving us morale, strength and also confidence."
It tells a lot.
Fulham have contested four matches against Italian clubs, putting together a record that reads W1 D2 L1 (W0 D1 L1 in Italy). Those fixtures comprise a 5-3 aggregate win against Bologna FC (one of Juve coach Alberto Zaccheroni's old clubs) in one of the 2002 UEFA Intertoto Cup finals.Fulham have recorded two victories, two draws and two defeats in their six European away games this season. Encouragingly, they have only failed to score once in their 13 European away trips since making their continental debut in 2002.Roy Hodgson's team don't win many away from home, but they are solid and have conceded only one goal in their last four on the road.
Juventus on the other hand is overrated here I think. They have not won in their last four home fixtures against Premier League sides, recording three draws and a defeat since beating Newcastle United FC 2-0 in the 2002/03 UEFA Champions League group stage. Juventus have lost all four of their two-legged knockout ties against English clubs since they overcame Liverpool FC 1-0 in the 1985 European Champion Clubs' Cup final.. Juventus have triumphed in just one of their last six European home games, seeing off Maccabi Haifa FC 1-0 in this season's UEFA Champions League group stage, though four of those fixtures ended in draws. They've won just once from four home games in Serie A in 2010, losing twice and conceding eight goals.
Juve coach Zaccheroni has yet to win in five outings against English clubs, with his AC Milan and Inter sides recording three draws and two defeats – including a 5-1 home reverse for Inter against Arsenal in the most recent game, a 2003/04 UEFA Champions League group-stage fixture.
Alberto Zaccheroni believes Juventus are hitting form at the right time as they prepare to meet Fulham FC in the first leg of their round of 16 UEFA Europa League tie.Juve have won four and drawn three of their eight games since Zaccheroni replaced Ciro Ferrara in January and come into the match buoyed by their weekend win at ACF Fiorentina. "After Saturday's game we are full of confidence," the coach said. "The squad has been growing by the day since my arrival and we're also getting some injured players back. If we show the same character as in the last game, we can be a match for anyone." Felipe Melo is suspended, Gianluigi Buffon, Amauri and Giorgio Chiellini all have thigh injuries and Claudio Marchisio is doubtful because of a throat infection
Juve coach Zaccheroni said:
"We know Fulham are tough," he said. "Moreover, on the Fulham bench sits Roy Hodgson, a wise man and an experienced coach. His teams are always well organised and play good football."nesi and Vincenzo Iaquinta have returned to fitness and could start.
Also we need to keep in mind that Juve are fighting in the league for CL place, so their motivation is a doubt.
All in all I see this ending in a draw and both scoring
